The Mourning (Aftermath)

Your party explored the edges of the dark mist that now enshrouded what was once Cyre for weeks before following General Bren ir’Gadden back to Breland.

Eventually you migrated to the Brelish city of Sharn

where other Cyran refugees were being welcomed somewhat reluctantly and being provided with shelter in the Highwall district. The accommodations were little better than slums but they were someplace to call home.

Avesta Evilicious performed a study on the glowing mark on the floor of the ruined tower and was able to make out the phrase “Seven stand as one against the coming darkness”.

As your group departed the tower you were attacked by agents of the Emerald Claw sent to recover General Bren ir’Gadden.

As you battled the Emerald Claw forces the skies darkened and filled with flashes of orange fire. As your battle wound down the armies bellow the hill were engulfed in a foreboding mist and the battlefield became unnaturally quiet.

Gathering Bren ir’Gadden and his comatose aide Aric you began your trek back to your command to investigate the day’s strange event’s not yet knowing that you had just witnessed the end of the Last War and the destruction of your homeland, Crye.

Day of the Mourning (Part 1)

Sent to investigate reports that Brelish scouts were using a nearby ruined tower as a base of observation; you were partnered with 6 others. The 7 of you were pulled from disparate units of the Crye forces defending the area.

Investigating the tower, you stumbled upon a nest of kruthik hatchlings

that were riled up by a pair of dolgrim.

The dolgrim appeared to be studying the effects of a glowing mark on the floor of the ruined tower by leaving the catatonic form of Aric Blacktree in the center of the circle.

After dispatching the hatchlings and the dolgrim, you freed the other captive, one General Bren ir’Gadden. Grateful for his release, Bren agrees to accompany you back to the Crye encampment in order to be ransomed back to the Brelish forces.
